 The four frames below show the Earth's northern aurora as imaged at wavelengths between 140-160 nm with the FUV Widband Imaging Camera (WIC). A faint transpolar arc can be seen inside the auroral oval. The imaged auroral emissions are from excited molecular nitrogen.
